You are responsible for satisfying yourself that a product meets your requirements before purchase. Where a demo is offered, we encourage you to try it first.

Self-hosted software — your responsibility

Our products are self-hosted: they run on hosting you control, and you own the source code and your data. That also means you are responsible for:

• your hosting environment, PHP version, and server configuration;
• taking and testing your own backups;
• securing your installation, including passwords, access control and SSL;
• applying updates, and any changes you or a third party make to the source code.

We cannot recover data from an installation we do not host, and we are not responsible for data loss, downtime, or issues arising from your hosting, third-party plugins, or modifications to the code.

Not professional advice

Several of our products include financial, accounting, payroll, tax and point-of-sale features. These are tools to assist you — they are not a substitute for professional advice. Nothing produced by our software constitutes accounting, tax, legal, or financial advice.

Tax rates, statutory deductions, thresholds, and filing requirements differ by country and change over time. While we make reasonable efforts to keep built-in defaults sensible, you are responsible for verifying that any calculation, deduction, rate, return or report is correct and current for your jurisdiction before relying on it or submitting it to any authority, employee or third party. We strongly recommend that a qualified accountant, tax practitioner or attorney reviews your setup and your output.

Third-party services

Some products integrate with third-party services such as payment gateways, messaging providers and hosting control panels. Those services are operated by their providers, governed by their own terms and privacy policies, and may change or become unavailable independently of us. We are not responsible for their availability, fees, decisions, or the handling of data once it reaches them.

Availability and results

We do not warrant that any product will operate uninterrupted or error-free, or that it will produce any particular business result. Screenshots, demo data and sample figures are illustrative only.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CWShop Online shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or business, arising out of or in connection with the use of, or inability to use, our products — even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for the product in question.

Licensing

Purchases are one-time licences for the product as described at the time of sale. Licence terms, including how many installations a purchase covers and what redistribution is permitted, are set out in our Terms of Service.
