Managed Hosting Addendum

This Managed Hosting Addendum applies only if you buy our optional managed-hosting service. It supplements our Terms of Service, Refund Policy and Privacy Policy, and it works together with the hosting terms shown and accepted when you add or renew hosting at checkout. Last reviewed 5 October 2026.

1. A separate service from your software licence

Managed hosting is a paid service in which we run a copy of a supported product for you on our platform, at an address such as yourname.cwspos.com. It is different from the one-time software licence you buy from this store:

  • The software licence is a one-time purchase. It covers your right to use the software, and it carries no uptime promise and no monthly fee.
  • Managed hosting is a prepaid, term-based service. It covers the infrastructure we operate for you and the service limits in this addendum.
  • Buying hosting does not give you extra licence rights, and ending or not renewing hosting does not end your software licence. You can always export your data and self-host under your licence.
  • Download limits, refunds and licence terms for the software remain as stated in the Terms and Refund Policy. This addendum governs only the hosting service.

If this addendum conflicts with the Terms about the hosting service, this addendum prevails for the hosting service only.

2. Availability of the offer

We offer hosting at our discretion and subject to capacity, and we may open, limit, by-request or close new sign-ups at any time. That does not affect a term you have already paid for. We may offer hosting only for some products.

3. Term, prepayment and renewal

We sell hosting per term (currently 3 months, 6 months or one year), paid in advance. The service runs until the end of the paid term. It does not renew automatically, and we do not charge your payment method again unless you place a renewal order. To keep your instance active, renew before the term ends. We show the price of each term before you pay, and renewal prices may differ from earlier prices.

4. What the service includes

  • a running instance of the product at your chosen address on our platform;
  • routine platform maintenance and security patching of the infrastructure we operate; and
  • reasonable email support about the hosted service during business hours.

The service does not include custom development, data entry, data migration beyond a reasonable export, training, your own domain name or email setup, or fees charged by third parties such as payment providers and messaging services.

5. Service levels and their limits

This section defines everything we promise about availability and support. It is a statement of limits, not a guarantee.

  • No uptime guarantee. We aim to keep hosted instances available, but we do not guarantee any level of uptime, speed or error-free operation, and we do not offer service credits or compensation for downtime.
  • Maintenance. We may interrupt service for planned maintenance, which we try to schedule at quiet times and announce in advance where reasonably possible, and for emergency maintenance, which we may carry out without notice.
  • Exclusions. We are not responsible for unavailability or loss caused by events outside our reasonable control, internet or power failures, attacks on our providers, third-party services (for example payment or messaging providers), your own configuration, content or use, or modifications not made by us.
  • Support. We aim to reply to support requests within one business day. That is a target, not a commitment. Support does not include round-the-clock monitoring or an on-call service.
  • Backups. We take platform-level backups to help us recover our service, but we do not promise that a backup exists for any given date or that we can restore your individual instance. You are responsible for keeping your own exports (see section 7).
  • Recovery. We do not commit to any recovery-time or recovery-point objective.

If we later choose to offer a written service-level commitment for a particular plan, we will state it on that plan’s page and in your order, and it will apply only to that plan.

6. Fair use and suspension

Use the service for normal business use of the hosted product. We may apply reasonable limits on storage, bandwidth and processing, and we may contact you about usage that affects platform stability. You must not host unlawful content or use the service in a way that harms the platform, other customers or third parties. We may suspend an instance immediately if needed to protect the platform or comply with the law, if you breach this addendum, or if a payment is reversed, and we will tell you why and what you can do about it.

7. Your data and your responsibilities

Your business data belongs to you. While your instance is active you can export it using the tools in the product, and on request we will provide a reasonable export. Do not rely on managed hosting as your only backup: export your data regularly. You are responsible for the content and data you place in the instance, for the accuracy of the information you give us, for your users’ passwords and access, and for complying with the laws that apply to your business, including notices to your own customers.

8. Data protection roles

For the personal data your business stores in a hosted instance, you are the controller and we act as your processor, processing it only to provide the service and as you instruct. We use the security measures described in our Privacy Policy, we keep that data confidential, and we tell you without undue delay if we become aware of a breach affecting your instance. We use sub-processors (for example infrastructure providers) and stay responsible for them. A written data-processing agreement is available on request. For the data we collect about you as our customer, the Privacy Policy applies.

9. Fees, taxes and non-payment

You pay the price shown at checkout in USD. Any applicable taxes or payment-provider charges are shown before you pay, where required. If you do not renew by the end of the term, we may suspend the instance. We keep your data for 30 days after expiry so you can renew or export it. After that period, we may permanently delete the instance and its data and have no duty to keep or restore it.

10. Cancellation and refunds

You may choose not to renew at any time, and you need not give notice. Paid hosting terms are non-refundable once we have provisioned your instance, except where the law requires a refund, where we cannot provide the service we sold you, or where this section says otherwise. If we fail to provision your instance within a reasonable time after payment, we refund that order. If we decide to stop offering managed hosting, we will give you at least 30 days’ notice where we can, help you export your data, and refund the unused part of any prepaid term.

11. Ending the service

Either of us may end the service for a material breach that the other does not fix within a reasonable time after notice. On expiry or termination, your right to use the instance on our platform ends, and sections 7 (export), 9 (retention and deletion), 12 and 13 continue to apply. Your software licence is not affected unless the breach also breaches the licence terms.

12. Liability

We provide the hosting service “as is” to the extent the law permits. Subject to the Terms and to rights that cannot lawfully be excluded, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, revenue, goodwill or data arising from the service, and our total liability for a claim about the hosting service is limited to the hosting fees you paid for the term in which the claim arose.

13. Changes

We may update this addendum or the service. Material changes apply from your next renewal, and we show the current version on this page. The hosting terms you accepted for a paid term apply for that term, and we keep a copy of the text you accepted with your order.
